We are not just a private practice that implements run-of-the-mill solutions to your problems. In 2006, in partnership with Dr. Augusto Bastidas (Surgical Oncology) we authored a clinical trial the treatment of advanced, recurrent malignancy of the abdominal cavity.

The treatment is known as Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC), a new approach to combat recurrent cancer. HIPEC is FDA-approved, but we have it under study at our facility to determine the utility for various disease types.

Recurrent cancer patients with GI or Gynecologic malignancy have a treatment option not offered by others in the Bay Area. In fact, we are the oldest provider of HIPEC services in California, and the only provider of this procedure for Gynecologic malignancy.
